Riding the success of her show Modern Family, Sarah Hyland scored herself a feature in the December 2012/January 2013 issue of Complex magazine.

The 22-year-old actress rocked American Apparel shorts and a LuLu sweater for the fashionable Carlos Nunez shot spread while dishing about topics including growing up in entertainment to shopping.

On growing up in the entertainment industry:

“I never really thought about it like that growing up. I always went to school and when I was working, I had tutoring every day. I still had a childhood.”

On shopping:

“Id rather watch sports than go shopping. Shopping stresses me out. Im drawn to expensive things, but I dont want to pay $200 for a shirt. I dont like to spend money.”

On if she gets compared to Mila Kunis:

“Never. I think it”s the most flattering compliment I”ll ever get. One, she”s a wonderful person and very nice. And two, shes smokin.”
