Romain Gavras is a French director, best known for directing M.I.A.’s controversial video for ‘Born Free’ as well as Kanye’s ‘No Church In The Wild’. In 2012 he won 2 VMA’s for Best Cinematography and Best Direction, for M.I.A.’s ‘Bad Girls’ video. His style of cinematography portrays realistic settings alongside over-exaggerated high energy content. For Samsung Gavras directed a commercial entitled ‘Charge’, produced by Somesuch & Co. The video shows a giant charge of multiple characters from different worlds running wild for the Samsung Smart TV.
